ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP
Take your Period 1 Electrical training in your own community.
Electricians install, alter, repair and maintain electrical systems designed to provide heat, light, power, control, signal or fire alarm for all types of buildings and premises.
The Apprenticeship training required to enable the Electrician to safely carry out daily job requirements consists of four years or periods. All four periods consist of on-the-job work experience and technical training. The first three periods of technical training require 240 hours (8 weeks) of classroom and lab attendance for each year. The fourth period of technical training is 360 hours or 12 weeks of classroom and lab activities.
Now, to enhance accessibility, we are pleased to offer Electrical Apprenticeship Training, Period 1 by videoconference to regional sites. This option is an alternative method of acquiring the theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the first period of technical apprenticeship programming for the Electrical Trade.
