GAS PROCESS OPERATIONS
LEVEL D - AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT

In cooperation with Red Deer College, YREC is pleased to offer the Gas Process Operations program in Edson.

The Gas Process Operation program provides training to plant operators working in the industry or those interested in entering the GPO field. The program consists of four levels of training - A, B, C, and D.

The objectives of the Gas Process Operations Program are twofold:

  • To supplement on-the-job training with technical knowledge of the underlying concepts, basic background, and plant safety
  • To give gas plant operators the opportunity to obtain an industry-recognized certificate, certifying four levels of knowledge

 

Starting this March:

Level D- Auxiliary Equipment

This course covers the following topics: introduction to electricity, motors and generators, introduction to instrumentation, programmable logic controllers, water purification, corrosion mechanisms and monitoring. There are a total of 27 modules which are listed below.

COURSE: GPO Level D, CRN 2050

DATES: March 27 & 28, April 24 & 25, May 8 & 9 and May 22, 2009.

TIMES: Fridays (6:30 - 9:30 pm) and Saturdays (9:00 am to 4:00 pm)

FEES: $897.00 includes text

PLACE: YREC, Edson (Provincial Building, Edson)
